Local Eats: CSA #6

One giant shipment of veggies, eggs, and fruit–and only three days to enjoy it. This weekend I am heading to the Cape for a weeklong family vacation so everything needs to be eaten, fast! We’re freezing a couple of the goodies, but most is going to be turned into salsa, side dishes, and salad. Hopefully…

But for kicks as always, here’s what we got. Cute tiny eggplants, carrots (!), cabbage, greens (what I think is kale and perslane, perhaps?), two green squash, tons and tons of cucumber, onions, and enough fava beans to feed a tiny village. We also received a dozen eggs, a pint of blueberries, a quart of yellow plums, and 3/4 of a pound of cherries. So all in all a great week, but hopefully we can eat it all!
